Every year millions of animals are deemed "waste" when they no longer serve a purpose in agricultural farming. As a result, they are killed or sold on for their meat. We believe that all farm animals deserve to feel love and safety in the way that domestic pets do, and we are here to give that to them. If a female cow gives birth to a male, he is deemed to be a waste product as he cannot produce milk and therefore does not bring profit to the farm. To save on costs for caring for these unwanted male calves, they are killed on the farm or sent to an abattoir to be slaughtered for pet food. This is the cruel reality of this $4 billion industry.

Hy-Vee was mixing up a new pint-sized, super premium ice cream called “Til the Cows Come Home.” But this funky ice cream brand needed a set of sassy flavor names to go with it. I was the lucky person on the job and created lists of name suggestions playing off of the ingredients and pop culture. The client took it from there, choosing their favorites to appear on each label, which can now all be found in the Hy-Vee freezer section. Dairy farms are dependent on females to make a profit. Just like humans, in order for female cows to produce milk they must give birth to a calf.
For this reason, female cows are continually impregnated to keep up their milk supply. Many people are not aware of the common practices that occur in agriculture farming to meet consumer demands. Dairy cows forcefully impregnated, mother and babies separated and all sent to slaughter when no longer needed. Hens confined in spaces to lay eggs at unnatural rate. These animals are all exploited to meet consumer demands. The price for this product is set by the individual retailers and varies among them.
